Low arch breech, grooved trigger, 3-click tumbler. Correct Buffington rear sight, hooded front sight, correct rod bayonet, retains stacking and both sling swivels. Buttplate with trapdoor covering implement compartment, which is empty. One of the last of the last Trapdoor rifles to be produced from the last year of production.
Very fine. Barrel with thinning blue turning to a plum brown patina. Breech block with vivid color. All markings crisp and clear. Mechanically functional, fine bores with some dirt near the muzzle. Stock with scattered minor bumps, dings and mars.
