Miller Conversion of a US Model 1861 Parker Snow Contract Rifle Musket

.58RF, 39" barrel, no S/N. Bright finish, walnut stock. Barrel secured by three flat, spring retained barrel bands. Standard Parker-Snow lock markings, dated 1863 at tail. Retains the original M1861 rear sight, front sight/bayonet lug, both sling swivels and a swelled shank M1861 ramrod. A scare post-Civil War cartridge conversion of an obsolete M1861 Rifle Musket.

Condition:

Good. Metal with a mottled patina and some scattered surface oxidation and pinpricking. Clear lock markings, mechanically functional, poor bore that is heavily oxidized with some pitting and weak rifling. Stock with wear, numerous bumps and dings, a crack through the counterpane and large repair on the obverse behind the lock.
