Woodward, Joseph Janvier (1833-1884) Four Photo-micrographic Albumen Prints. Images on photo paper mounted on publisher's card mounts, imprint and title printed on the mount in light brown ink, each identified by hand in dark brown ink, depicting bugs and their antennae, magnified to show their structures; some bowing to the mounts, generally good, with notes in pencil and pen, 14 x 11 in. mounts. The photos are 6_ in - Washington, D.C.: War Department, Surgeon General's Office, Army Medical Museum. J.J. Woodward was a Civil War surgeon and microscopist, known as a pioneer in photo-microscopy.
