McClymont, Dewar, and Co. British Highland Officer's Sword

33.25" spearpoint blade with 20" median fuller, 1" wide at ricasso.  Steel full-basket guard of regimental type lined with butt leather covered in red felt complete with blue trim.  Wire-wrapped shagreen grip.  Blade etched throughout with floral motifs.  Obverse of blade etched with George V crown and cypher surmounted by a sunburst, with reverse showing Highland Light Infantry regimental insignia surmounted by crown and sunburst.  Ricasso shows six-line McClymont, Dewar, and Co. address.  Regimental scabbard.

Blade has a dull luster with some scratches and light oxidation.  Etchings legible though with some loss of detail.  Some scattered darkening and oxidation of guard with liner in good condition.  Some oxidation of scabbard.  A good example of an officer's sword belonging to a short-lived regiment.
