* Mauser Model 1898 (Sporterized)
7mm Mauser. 22" barrel length. SN: D4339. Bolt-action rifle with internal magazine, down turned bolt, tapered barrel, adjustable ladder rear sight, and fixed blade front sight. Blued military finish with plain straight grip stock and forearm. Big ring receiver. Mauser barrel and action appears to have been sporterized and fitted to a hunting rifle stock. Includes leather sling.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is dark and has oxidation to rifling. There is thinning, light scratching, and strike marks to finish on receiver and barrel. Wood stock has some light scratching overall. Wood to metal fit is not great and there is gapping to buttplate and receiver areas.
