Left grip panel has traces of an illegible cartouche. Inspection marks include A to triggerguard, P in front of loading lever stud, S to loading lever. P markings to both cylinders. Item comes in modern production red felt lined wood case with brass lock and hinges. Included in case are a serial number matching spare cylinder, 12xround lead balls, reproduction bullet mold by Euro Arms, reproduction powder flask with embossed Pheasant and Hound motif, spare trigger, brass key, 2xmodern percussion cap tins.
Condition:
Very Good. Bore is bright with some patina and strong rifling. Metal finish is a brown patina overall with installed cylinder showing cycling wear while spare cylinder retains sharper edges. Triggerguard has tarnish overall. Grips show handling wear and mars overall with upper edges showing some shimming and repair to improve fit with frame. Modern production items in case are in Very Good condition. Case has scratches and mars over lid with cracking near front edge. Action of revolver times and indexes correctly with some wiggle to lockup.
