.36 Caliber. 6.5" barrel length. SN: 21026. Single-action percussion revolver with five-shot cylinder. Blued metal finish with roll-engraved cylinder and silver-plated brass gripstraps. Top of octagonal barrel signed MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J. is legible but weak. Serial numbers match where visible but item lacks rear gripstrap and one-piece wood grips. Wedge pin has no visible serial number and lacks retaining screw.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is dark with pitting throughout. Overall metal finish is a dark brown patina with pitting to cylinder, nipples, and breech area. Brass triggerguard is tarnished and shows some remaining tarnished silver plating to right side. Roll engraving to cylinder is weak with some lines sill visible. Item is missing rear gripstrap and wood grips. Action fails to fully index and locks loosely though hammer is able to lock back and release.
