Lot of Three Iron Tsuba including Tsuba with Gold Mon

1.) 2.5" wide. 2.75" long. Iron tsuba with gold four-leaf Hanabishi style mon to one side and a deep original brown finish overall.

2.) 2.5" wide. 3" long. Lobate iron tsuba depicting a crane flying over bamboo branches to front with five scattered bamboo leaves to obverse. Bamboo details are made of brass as are the beak and legs of crane. Crane is copper with a lacquer finish. Tsuba shows deep brown finish overall.

3.) 3" wide. 3.25" long. Brown patinaed iron tsuba with brass shishi among wild flowers. Flowers and leaves are composed of copper, brass, and silver. Seven gold plated grains of rice shown to both sides of item.

Condition:

1.) Fine. Finish intact with some scratches and wear at edges. Mon has some wear to finish but retains sharp details.

2.) Very Good. Retains much of the original patina finish with some wear to outer edges. Bamboo details show some tarnish with a speck of blue oxidation on crane's beak. Finish to crane has worn away on outer edges exposing copper beneath.

3.) Good. Iron shows some oxidation forming to both sides. Brass, silver, and copper show tarnish with some of the silver finish worn off to lower flower. Gold plating to rice grains is worn in places but details remain discernable overall.
