Lot of Sixteen CDV's of Union Generals
Mostly common Brady views of the day having various back marks with thirteen pencil identified and three not. None are autographed. The group includes ten desirable cavalry officers: Brig. Gen. Washington L. Elliott, Maj. Gen. Judson Kilpatrick, Col. George Bayard, Maj. Gen. Geo. Stoneman, Maj. Gen. James. H. Wilson, Brig. Gen. Alfred Gibbs, Brig. Gen. Benjamin H. Grierson, Brig. Gen. John Buford, Brig. Gen. David. M. Gregg, Maj. Gen. Alfred Pleasanton, and Maj. Gen. Wesley Merritt. Other identified officers are: Maj. Gen. John A. McClernand, Brig. Gen. Henry W. Slocum, Maj. Gen. Phil Sheridan, and two different views of Maj. Gen. Lovell H. Rousseau. The three without identification are: Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger, Maj. Gen. Jasper Maltby, and Brig. Gen. William Sooy Smith.
Condition:The CDVs are uniformly near VG showing varying degrees of wear with soft corners. One Rousseau heavily trimmed.
