Lot of 2 U.S. Model 1913 Cavalry Swords

Lot of two U.S. Model 1913 Cavalry swords, also known as the "Patton Saber" after its namesake, then Second Lieutenant (Later General) George S. Patton. Items are without scabbards. 

1.) 35" blade length. 43" overall length. Double edged blade with a 29" single center fuller and 5.25" center ridge to both sides of blade. Hilt has a nickel metal finish with green tint to cupped guard and checkered metal grip. Item is marked "US/8605" to left ricasso, and "S {flaming bomb} A/1914" to right ricasso. 

2.) 35" blade length. 43" overall length. Double edged blade with a 29" single center fuller and 5.25" center ridge to both sides of blade. Hilt has a nickel metal finish with green tint to cupped guard and checkered metal grip. Item is marked "US/20313" to left ricasso, and "S {flaming bomb} A/1914" to right ricasso.

Condition:

Both items are in good condition with mottled discoloration and some surface oxidation, pitting to blades. Guards have light scratching and losses overall. Nickel finish appears to have turned a greenish color.
