1) Brown Manufacturing Company, Southerner - .41 rimfire. 2.5" barrel length. SN: 2660. Break-action single shot derringer pistol with fine engravings, exposed spur hammer, and fixed blade front sight. Item has a silver plated finish and what appears to be bone grips. Engravings include an American shield surrounded by a banner reading "IN GOD WE TRUST" to right of barrel, with floral script and punch marks to frame on right side. On left side surrounding manufacturer marks is Grecian fretwork style engravings to barrel, and floral script engravings to left of frame. There are also basic script engravings to back strap and around hammer. Marked "SOUTHERNER" to top of barrel. Includes brown leather holster with belt clip. Overall a beautiful derringer pistol.
2) Merrimack Arms, Southerner - .41 rimfire. 2.5" barrel length. SN: 2012. Break-action single shot derringer pistol with exposed spur hammer and fixed blade front sight. Blued metal finish, brass frame, and plain walnut grips. Features standard manufacturer markings.
1) Very good. Bore has some pitting and residue. Finish and engravings are in great condition. Some patina around front sight. Some discoloration to bone grips. Several cracks in right side grip.
2) Very good. Bore bright and rifling appears sharp. Blued metal finish has mostly thinned or turned to a plum patina. Some light losses and bites to grips.
