Lot of 10 Large Powderhorns
Lot of ten large powder horns ranging from 11" to 15" in length. Items composed of horn with all but five mounting wood plugs. Three feature brass plugs and spouts while the remaining two are missing their plugs.
Condition:
All horns in Good condition. Plugs show some abrasions and scratches along with wear to paint where present. Iron tacks and loops are dark brown patina while brass components show tarnish. Horns show some abrasions and wear with one having been varnished and now showing cracking and erosion of clearcoat. One horn has two splits forming from plug along body. Horn with attached lanyard has a broken tack to plug which is now loose.
