Lot of 108.
Collection of loose lithographs and engravings featuring scenes from the American Revolution and portraits of famous early Americans, most measuring 7 x 10.5 in. Lot includes some duplicates. Images are likely derived from two sources, Evert A. Duyckinck's National Portrait Gallery of Eminent Americans: Including Orators, Statesmen, Naval and Military Heroes, Jurists, Authors, Etc. (New York: Johnson, Fry & Co., 1861-1864) and J.A. Spencer's History of the United States (New York: Johnson, Fry, & Co., 1858). Notable in the collection are the engraved title pages for volumes two and three of History of the United States, as well as popular historic images of John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, Daniel Boone, Samuel Adams, Alexander Hamilton, and many more.
Conditions vary, some with light scattered foxing and others with more pronounced foxing. Expected toning on all images. Overall condition generally good.
