Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Stepback Cupboard

American, first quarter 19th century. A two-piece stepback cupboard in original red washed pine, the upper section having a stacked molded cornice over two six-glass pane doors with straight mullions, interior shelves consisting of plate rails, cup shelves and spoon slots, all above a pie shelf flanked by two fitted dovetailed drawers with brass pulls, the lower section having two aligned drawers over two raised panel doors with single shelf interior, all rising on applied bracket base; ht. 89, wd. 50, dp. 22 in.
