LADY IN PINK WITH BRAIDS 1840s DAGUERREOTYPE

Quarter plate. The woman wears a pink dress and has braids in her hair. Her body's averted, but she looks right at us. We can see her small waist and the fullness of her dress caused by the bustle below. Note that her face has been tinted and she wears fingerless gloves (mitts). Half case.

Condition:Brown spot in the space to the left of her neck. Tarnish at perimeter.
