Two-screw percussion lock marked "KETLAND/& Co", top flat of barrel marked "LONDON" and breech with post-1813 Birmingham commercial proof marks. Stock decorated with brass tacks, around the base of the butt with a cross motif in the obverse butt and additional tacks along the forend. Brass ramrod pipes retain an old wood ramrod.

Fair to good. Metal moderately oxidized with scattered roughness and pitting. Lock functional, bore fair and dark with pitting. Stock worn, missing pins, forend loose with splintered and slivered loss, chips and minor damage. Cracks through lock screws, balance of stock with wear, dings and mars.
