Kentucky Full-Stock Percussion Indian Rifle from the Jim Richie Collection

.40 cal., 33" octagonal barrel with script letter "P" on the top face, rear sight removed, faintly engraved lockplate, double set triggers, all finish aging to dark gray with overall peppered pitting.  Maple stock with line carved ramrod channel filled with traces of red ochre, checkered wrist and cheek rest on the left buttstock, brass furniture with four-piece engraved patchbox, brass tacks outlined patchbox and trim the stock.  One of the tack heads is missing on the underside of the buttstock reviling the 'square' cut shank, helping to date the rifle to before the 1880s.  Complete with a contemporary replacement ramrod.

Condition:Fair to good; bore dark with strong rifling, barrel and lock with pitting as noted above.  Action does not hold.  Stock worn on the edges, patchbox lid slightly bent, triggerguard has a repaired break and the back tip of the backplate is missing.
