Kentucky Fugitive Slave Reward Broadside, 1844

Broadside, 10 x 7.5 in.; May 29, 1844, bold heading 400 DOLLARS REWARD, offered for the return of two slaves to Samuel Sayers of Kenton County, Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati.  One of the slaves is described as having one toe cut off, possibly as a result of a previous escape attempt. A scarce Kentucky imprint.
