Johnson Model 1842 Pistol,
.54 caliber, 8.5" round barrel, military proofs on the left side of barrel. Lockplate marked U.S./ I.N. Johnson, the back of lockplate marked Middtn Conn and dated 1854. Walnut stock with brass furniture.
Condition:Barrel and lock have light storage rust that has stained the metal with a pleasing brown look. Brass furniture has a polished sheen. Stock has normal dings and mars from use. A small crack in the stock from butt cap running diagonal to triggerguard, ca 1".
