JOE PENNEL FRONTIERSMAN DAKOTA BADLANDS

Tintype in paper sleeve. At top: "Joe Pennel." At bottom: "Hunter & frontiersman Medora, Dak 1885." Medora was in the Badlands, North Dakota. A quick internet search found a May 22, 1884 article, titled 'The Bad Lands Cow Boy,' which refers to Joe Pennell (spelling here adds another 'L' to his surname).

Condition:Tintype in very good condition plus. Sleeve is torn and fragile.
