7.7mm caliber, 26" barrel, S/N 38085. Bolt and dust cover mismatched. Blued finish with military two-piece stock. Blade front sight with tangent rear sight. Receiver shows an intact Imperial chrysanthemum and model markings. Left side of receiver marked with serial number, Tokyo Juki Kogyo arsenal stamp and what appears to be a series "37" marking.
Fair. Overall dark gunmetal patination with light rust frosting and needlepoint pitting throughout. Stock shows rough finish consistent with later war pieces and surplus arms but no serious cracks, splits, or other damage. Mechanically functional. Bore is fair; some darkening with worn but visible rifling.
