Patent model by J.N. Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, on magazine-fed firearms. Smith designed a 2 part stock with a groove for the cartridge to travel to the receiver. A disk on the outside of the receiver along with cams and ratchets perform the mechanical duties to feed the chamber. Patented granted on August 18th, 1865. Constructed of wood and metal.
The stock has nicks, scratches and mars. The right side has a chip to the stock held together currently by tape.
