.22 RF. 2.3" octagonal barrel length. SN: 8520. Nickel plated finish with casehardened hammer and trigger. Checkered hardrubber H&A logo grips. Double-action 7-shot loading gate revolver with topstrap notch and front blade sights, as well as a knurled cylinder pin. Topstrap displays weak marks suggesting finish that reads X.L.DOUBLE ACTION/HOPKINS & ALLEN ARMS CO./NORWICH. CT. U.S.A.
Condition:
Very Good. Bore is frosty with residue and dust throughout. Brown patina forming along edges of triggerguard and left frame. Further discolorations and patina forming at joining of barrel and frame near cylinder pin. Further loss of finish to backstrap. Cylinder has patina forming along edges of flutes along with some signs of flaking. Grips have heavy handling wear and mars with checkering worn flat in places and some scuffs to both sides of butt. Action times and indexes correctly with slight wiggle to lockup.
