.54 caliber, 36" octagonal-to-round barrel, marked on the left barrel flat with eagle and U.S. in an oval. Converted to percussion from flintlock. Lockplate marked Harpers Ferry and dated 1816 on the rear of lockplate. Walnut stock with brass patchbox, triggerguard and ferrule. The rear ferrule is missing. Ramrod is missing.
Condition:Barrel is rusted and brown. Lockplate is rusted and pitted. Wood is cracked and has had an old repair. Rifle is in relic condition.
