Halfstock Percussion Target Rifle with Antique Brass Scope
About .44 caliber. 31.5" heavy octagonal barrel length. SN: NSN. Halfstock percussion target rifle with an antique brass scope and lock marked "RIDDLE" within a banner motif. Browned metal finish. Walnut stock has a plain perch belly-style grip and forearm with a brass cleaning rod. Stock also has a carved cheek rest to left side of butt. Item features double set triggers and fixed notch and brass blade sights that are unusable due to placement of scope. Scope does not appear to have any lenses or magnification.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is frosty. Finish has mostly turned to a dark mottled brown patina with pitting and some residue accumulation. Wood stock has a 2" crack to right side of wrist, extending from upper tang to rear of lock as well as light scratches and a few mars. Brass finish to scope and stock furnishings has discoloration and some oxidation scattered overall. Scope does not appear to have any lens or magnification.
