.33 caliber, 32" octagonal barrel, no S/N. Browned finish, hardwood half-stock with round brass patch box and brass furniture. Barrel marked ALBERT BOWN / NEW CASTLE, PA. Bown was the son of James Bown of the famous Pittsburgh firm of Bown & Tetley, later Enterprise Gun Works. He later moved to Ohio and worked in Salem, Columbiana county ca1868.
Fair. Barrel heavily oxidized overall and pitted at breech. Not functional, replaced hammer does not fit correctly, poor bore. Stock with moderate wear and a major repair at wrist.
