Group of Baseball Photographs

Lot of 8 photographs, ranging in size from approx. 5.25 x 3 x 9.5 x 7.5 in. Photos feature posed shots of players and teams, as well as action shots captured from live games, including two of the Portland Beavers playing the Sacramento Solons at home, ca 1950s for The Oregonian by Allan deLay (1915-2005). Another image shows members of the Milwaukee Alderman Baseball Team from the pennant-winning season of 1909, while an additional image of note captures three men standing in a dugout holding baseball bats. Typed label on verso reads in part: "This photo shows three former Giants who are now aiding the Cardinals in their evil designs on league leadership! From L to R: George W. Harper, Earl Smith, and Frank Frisch, taken at the game. . . Sept. 22nd, 1928."
