Glove Maker's Trade Sign

19th century. A large glove maker's trade sign with gilt painted hanging glove and metal sign, suspended from a wrought iron bracket; ht. 51, lg. 47 in.  
Auctioneer's note:  This sign hung outside the Gutman's cottage, and as such exhibits normal wear of an object being exposed to the elements.

Provenance:Property from the Americana Collection of Dr. Dale and Ann Knight Gutman, Cincinnati, Ohio

Condition:

Sign and mount have rust. Paint on glove is chipped and peeling (not original paint).
