8 x 11.5 in., 15 Nov. 1864. Sale of part of the estate of James Jackson of Troup County, GA, near LaGrange, by Nancy Jackson, administratrix of the estate. To be sold ...a large portion of the perishable property ... - consisting of horses, colts and mules, yoke of oxen and ox-wagon, milch cows and stock cattle, pork, stock hogs and sheep - a large quantity of corn, fodder, oats, peas, shucks, &c., probrbly [sic] 100 bales of cotton. Sale to continue from day to day if necessaryr [sic]. A fair amount of property given the war date. Unfortunately, the name is too common to identify and it is unclear whether Nancy is his wife, mother, daughter, or other relative.
