George III Sterling Bread Basket, William Plummer

English (London), 1786. A sterling silver bread basket with a swing handle, having a pierced rim, bowl and foot, and applied wheat stalk medallions to interior, with full hallmarks to rim. Monogrammed to bowl interior and exterior; ht. 4.5, lg. 13.75, wd. 9.5 in. (excluding handle), total silver wt. 23.14ozt (719.5g).


Some dents to bowl. Repairs to pierced bowl on both ends, covered by medallions. Medallions likely later addition.
