From the 1880 campaign of James Garfield and Chester Arthur, both of whom served as president. 22 x 23.5 in. section of a cotton roller print with offset jugate portraits, crossed flags, and the mottos UNION FOR EVER and EQUALITY FOR ALL MEN. Garfield's portrait based on a photo by Fassett, engraved by Rice & Sons; Arthur's on a portrait by Sarony, engraved by J.C. Buttre. Catalogued by Collins in Threads of History as plate no. 469. Glued to paper board and framed behind UV plexiglass, 27.75 x 29.5 in. overall.
