About .65 caliber. 36.5" barrel length. SN: NSN. Full-stock smoothbore flintlock rifle with slight notch rear sight and what appears to be a bayonet lug front sight. Bright finish to barrel and brass finish to stock accoutrements. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm with brass forend cap, thimbles, and handmade nails to stock. Item features basic floral engravings to lockplate, buttplate, and some hardware. Item appears to have obscured British ordnance marks and some letter marks to top of barrel, with similarities to a Sergeant's India Pattern 1797 flintlock carbine, but markings are too obscured to be definite. Item still with flint. Lock was pulled and does not appear to be reconverted. Includes one-piece metal ramrod.
Fair. Bore is dark. Finish has pitting and losses overall. Markings are mostly obscured and unreadable. Wood stock has scratching and mars overall. Action functional.
