12mm Perrin, 6" barrel, S/N 141. Bright finish, checkered walnut grip with lanyard ring in butt. Barrel engraved in script: L. Perrin Bte a Paris 51 Rue Laffitte. Right barrel web marked L. PERRIN and left web marked with serial number. Type I variant with thin loading gate hinged at top, standard ejector rod stored in cylinder arbor pin that is withdrawn and pivoted to the right for extraction. Frame mounted safety on left present but not functional. Front sight replaced. A handful of these revolvers were imported by the US government for use during the American Civil War, but this does not appear to be such an example.
Good. Metal cleaned to bright with some scuff and polishing marks. Mechanically functional, very good bore with some scattered oxidation, grip about fine with crisp checkering.
