American, mid to third quarter 19th century. A folk art pouch made from fabric, paper, and pressed board (possibly an old book cover), with three hand-drawn and colored scenes, the interior pockets containing print clippings and two small sheets of hand-drawn sketches; ht. 6.5, wd. 9.25 in.
Cover drawing of man on horseback is faded in comparison to two interior drawings. Fabric is discolored, has came partially unglued from the inner top pouch, and has a tear on the lower pouch. Wear and losses to surface of back cover.
