Floral Applique Quilts and Pillow
American, late 19th-early 20th century. Two appliqué quilts, including one featuring nice circular flower-covered stems with a border of half-circle floral stems on finely cross-stitched white ground, and one Rose of Sharon pattern featuring nine red and pink trapunto flowers with beige stems on a finely cross-stitched white ground, dated 1885 in one corner; and one appliqué quilted pillow featuring a red and orange tulip with beige stem and leaves on a cross-stitched white ground; circle-stem quilt (larger) 81 x 81 in.
Condition:
Quilt with circular stems has some loss to applied fabric. Light stains to both quilts, and water stain in center of pillow. Both quilts have been washed.
