Two samplers, one with multiple alphabets, a strawberry vine divider, a large architectural structure and figure, surrounded by trees, plants, and peacocks on either side of a large urn with flowers, signed Elizabeth Ferguson / Aged 11 Y, the second sampler with an all-around border of red berries, alphabets and numbers, and large decorative elements of trees in urns, crowns, birds, and a basket of flowers, signed and dated at bottom Esther Sanforth Aged 11 / April 8, 1809, both framed; Sanforth sampler 16 x 11 in. (sight), 14 x 19 in. (frame).
