English Hill's Patent Revolver
.450CF, 6" heptagonal barrel, no S/N. Nickel finish, checkered two-piece walnut grips, 6-shot double action revolver. Upper right angled flat engraved HILL'S PATNET SELF EXTRACTOR. Lanyard ring in butt. James William Hill worked in Birmingham ca1860-1897 and in addition to being a firearms maker, designer and retailer served as Vice-Counsul to the Republic of Uruguay 1877-1884.
Condition:
Very good. Retains most of the nickel finish with the cylinder showing the most flaking and loss. Mechanically functional, very good bore with scattered light pitting and moderate oxidation. Grip with traces of varnish, crisp checkering and scattered bumps and dings.
