Eastern Sioux Gunstock Club From the Collection of Marvin L. Lince, Oregon

an iron blade, with star cutout, is inserted into the maple stock.  Brass tacks outline the stock on both sides; club grip has a beveled edge decorated with lightly incised zigzags and is wrapped with sinew-sewn skunk skin.  One face of the club has a faint pencil notation, Chief of the Sioux, length 26 in., length of blade 5 in.
