** Early Winchester U.S. Model 1917 Rifle

.30-06 caliber, 26" barrel, S/N 161551 (ca. Feb. 1918). Blued finish with grooved military stock.  Winchester-marked blade front sight with Winchester-marked rear sight.  Barrel marked with Winchester manufacture mark, flaming bomb, and "2-18" production date.  Forend cap, stock, bolt, and firing pin all show correct Winchester markings.  Stock shows American cartouches forward and rear of trigger guard.

Very good.  Some minor scratching to finish with stock showing some minor blemishes.  Some very minor staining spots of bottom of magazine and middle barrel band.  Bore is very good; bright with some minor scratches.  A very good example of a scarce non-refurbished Model 1917 rifle.

Estimate: $600 - $800
