Signed and dated 1778 on the title page by John Jamieson (1759-1838) a Scottish cleric and scholar who is best know for his "Etymological Dictionary of the Scottish Language" (1808).
Leather covers worn and rubbed raw at the joints and edges. Embossed private library stamp on the front endpage of T. Moffat Storer. Signed on the title page, "John Jamieson 1778." The title page is chipped along the edge and torn at the upper right corner but with no loss of text and sparing the Jamieson signature. Some internal staining and toning but sound and textually complete in 92 pages with the printed errata note at the bottom of the final page.
