(Some emulsion flaking and deterioration, spotting to mat; unsealed.) Housed in a full pressed paper case (surface wear with finish loss throughout, especially front cover, some separation with repair to spine). Subject stands in front of an elaborately painting backdrop featuring a pillar and decorative urn.
Sixth plate ruby ambrotype seated portrait of a British soldier in uniform including gold-highlighted epaulettes, belt plate, buttons, and collar detail. N.p.: n.p., n.d. (Some tarnish along mat opening, with light spotting throughout.) Housed in a geometric union case [Berg 3-125] (surface soil and light nicking and chipping to edges, with alignment issues).
