Early 19th Century British India Pattern Bayonet

17" blade length. 21.5" overall length. 19th century British socket bayonet. This item is most likely a Brown Bess India Pattern bayonet used by British forces during the Napoleonic Wars. The India Pattern bayonet was produced from 1795 to about 1815. Item has a possible proof house mark to ricasso of bayonet spike.

Condition:

Good condition. Bayonet has moderate levels of mottling and discoloration. There is heavy pitting . The connecting hook between blade and lock has a visible crack from use.
