11.7x42R, 35.375" round barrel secured by three spring-retained bands, S/N 63300. Blued finish, smooth walnut stock. Upper tang marked with the Copenhagen Arsenal marks and dated "1883." Barrel bands with Danish crown marks, reverse of receiver with crowned Danish markings and M-1867. Brass unit ID disk on obverse stock reads "3AB/1409." Retains the original long range military leaf rear sight, the drift adjustable front sight, saber bayonet lug, both sling swivels and the jag head cleaning rod. These rifles were produced on license from Remington in Denmark by the Danes for military use and were originally chambered for a rimfire cartridge. Most were later altered to center fire for the 11.7x42R cartridge, as is this example.
Good. Retains no finish with a dull, lightly oxidized brownish-gray patina. All markings remains clear and crisp. Mechanically functional, good bore. Stock with scattered bumps, dings and mars.
