Continental Model 1845 Infantry Sword

30" blade length. 36" overall length. Single-edged spearpoint blade with double offset fullers and quillback spine: one unstopped thin fuller, one stopped wide fuller, with an off-center ridge, to both sides. Features a hilt with rose and floral pierced brass knuckle guard, a single script quillon, black wood grip, and acanthus leaf engraved brass Phrygian helmet pommel. There is also a brown leather throat pad. On spine there are manufacturer markings that may indicate this sword was produced in Solingen, but the marks are obscured. 

Condition:

Good. Two small bites to blade. Some scattered discoloration and pitting to blade on both sides. Oxidation toward felt pad. Grip is missing twisted brass wiring. Peen appears untouched. Brass hilt has several minor losses to finish.
