.50 caliber. 40" heavy octagonal barrel length. SN: NSN. Full-stock percussion target rifle that appears to have been built by William Large, a contemporary gunmaker that was most active during the 1950's and 1960's in Ohio. Item has a browned metal finish to barrel, with case hardening to lock and brass finish to triggerguard and key shields. Walnut stock has a heavy bench rest style forearm with a plain straight grip perch belly style buttstock. Features double set triggers, a muzzle break, and large conical and Redfield Olympic hooded post front sights. Item also has a lock that was made by Joseph Golcher of Philadelphia. Barrel is signed "W.M. LARGE" to left side. Barrel is drilled and tapped for a rear sight attachment.

Good. Bore appears to be good. Finish has surface oxidation and pitting overall. wood stock has some minor dings and scratches. Brass stock fixtures have discoloration.
