Confederate cockade rosette of red, white, and blue, adorned in the center with a golden star, approx. 3.25 in. diameter. Attributed to the state of North Carolina.
Worn by men, women and children in the South, Confederate cockades were typically pinned to the lapel or at the hatband. Many color variations existed, but most cockades were blue and often included a center emblem.
Near excellent condition considering age and use.
