.40 caliber rifled bore. 12" barrel. No S/N. Bright finish, barrel with gold highlights, mixed furniture of brass, iron and pewter, hard wood stock. Assembled in the form of a frontier style flintlock "Kentucky" using an apparently 19th century pistol barrel that appears to have been made for the Middle Eastern trade. Lock, stock and furniture of more recent vintage. Includes a wooden ramrod.
Good. Barrel with an attractive patina, lock plate appears to be modern, with traces of cold blue. Mechanically functional, bore is fine with a rifled liner in the original smoothbore barrel. Stock with some scattered bumps, dings and mars.
