**Colt Vest Pocket Model 1908

.25 ACP. 2" barrel length. SN: 394391. Single-action hammerless semi-automatic pistol. Blued metal finish with walnut grips and silver medallions to both sides. Case hardened grip safety, slide lock, and trigger. Item is a later model that features a bottom magazine disconnector and removable 6-shot magazine. Standard manufacturer marks to slide and frame. Designed by John Browning in 1908, Colt produced this pocket pistol until 1941. After WWII, Colt manufactured another 1,200 Model 1908's before permanently discontinuing production in 1946. The Colt Junior (ca. 1957) was later developed based on the popularity of the Vest Pocket Model 1908.

Provenance:From the Collection of Charlie Hinton

Very good. Bore is bright and rifling is sharp. Three pinpoint pitting marks to left side of slide, and five to right side of frame. Light pitting to top of grip safety. Very faint scratches to finish. Overall a fine example of a later Colt Vest Pocket Model 1908.
