Colt U.S. Model 1860 Army Revolver

.44 caliber, 8" barrel, S/N 82563 (ca. 1862).  Visible numbers matching.  Blued finish with smooth one-piece walnut grip.  Six-shot cylinder with naval scene.  Barrel marked with one-line New York Colt address.  Grip shows script "CPL" inspection stamp of Chester S. Leonard on left with script "JT" in box of John Taylor on right.


Good to very good.  Overall mixed light and dark gunmetal finish with markings remaining legible. Some marring around wedge.  Grips shows some handling marks and blemishes with cartouches remaining legible. Mechanically fine.  Bore is good; some brightness with scattered pitting and scratches. Visible edges to rifling.
