**Colt Second Issue Police Positive

.38 Special. 4" barrel length. SN: 427184. Double-action 6-shot revolver with fluted swing-out cylinder, exposed spur hammer, cartridge extractor, and half moon front sight. Item has blued metal finish and original checkered walnut grips with silver rampant Colt medallions to both. Features a serrated top strap, checkered trigger, checkered hammer and cylinder release. Markings include (Rampant Colt) stamp to left side of frame, and standard manufacturer address, patent dates, and model name to top and left side of barrel. This item has a serrated top strap and a final patent date of 1926, meaning this is a second issue Police Positive revolver. The serial number indicates that this model was manufactured sometime in 1934.

Condition:

Very Fine. Bore is brilliant and rifling is sharp. No defects noted, this item is a crisp and clean, all around exemplary specimen.
